55-Inch TV and Soundbar Above Fireplace in Edina

The Complete Entertainment Setup in Edina

This charming Edina living room got the full treatment—a 55-inch TV and soundbar mounted together above the fireplace, creating a complete entertainment center that's ready for streaming, sports, and movie nights.

What Made This Install Different

• 55-inch TV was leveled, anchored into structure, and checked before the job was wrapped.

The Installation

We mounted the 55-inch TV on a tilt bracket above this elegant white fireplace mantel with its black marble surround. The tilt bracket angles the screen down toward the seating area for comfortable viewing. Below the TV, we installed a dedicated soundbar mounting bracket that holds the soundbar securely in place, perfectly aligned with the television.

The built-in shelving on either side of the fireplace gives this room a classic, put-together look. The homeowners have styled it beautifully with books, plants, artwork, and decorative objects. The mounted TV and soundbar fit right into this curated aesthetic—entertainment technology that complements rather than clutters the space.

Why Mount the Soundbar?

A lot of people set their soundbar on the mantel, which works fine. But mounting it has some real advantages. It keeps the mantel clear for decorative items, it positions the soundbar at the optimal height for audio projection, and it creates that clean, intentional look where everything appears to belong together.

We use dedicated soundbar brackets that attach directly below the TV mount. The soundbar is secure, level, and perfectly centered—no balancing it on a narrow mantel ledge.
