Separate the retail center from the house

Watters Creek, at Montgomery Farm, is where Allen goes for shops and restaurants along US-75. It is a useful landmark and a bad installation address. Twin Creeks is different: a residential golf-course community with its own streets. If that is where you live, say Twin Creeks and still enter the house number. If you live in another Allen subdivision, use that name rather than the mall or the highway. The highway exit does not tell us whether the room has a fireplace.

Two-story family rooms and the mantel

A lot of Allen houses put the family room under a two-story ceiling with the fireplace on the long wall. That layout can park a TV higher than anyone wants once they sit down. Compare the mantel location with an open stretch of wall from the chair you use. If the face is stone, brick, tile, or wood slats, pick that option while booking so the total matches the work. A soundbar under a mantel needs its own gap. Photograph the mantel thickness, not only the TV box.

East and west of US-75 are both Allen

The highway runs through the city, and neighborhoods on either side still use an Allen address. Do not invent a closer city because a shopping center sits across the line in Plano or McKinney. Those cities have their own pages. Richardson is to the south. If your community has an HOA gate or a monument that hides the street sign, mention it. The association's landscaping rules are not a description of the interior wall.

Is Twin Creeks in Allen or in Plano?

Twin Creeks is in Allen. Plano and McKinney are the neighboring cities. Enter the Allen street address, and add Twin Creeks in the notes if that helps with the entrance.

We watch from the kitchen as well as the sofa. Does that change the mount?

It can. Tell us both positions. A tilting or full-motion bracket is worth discussing only if the TV has room to move and the second seat is a place you really use. A fixed mount is often the cleaner choice when everyone faces the same wall.
