This morning I had the pleasure of installing a 55-inch Samsung Frame TV for Minnesota United goalkeeper Drake Callender at his Plymouth home. Drake chose a gorgeous gold deco frame that transforms the TV into a stunning focal point above the fireplace, flanked by built-in bookshelves. When the TV displays artwork in Art Mode, it genuinely looks like a framed masterpiece hanging above the mantel.
The installation presented an interesting challenge that I encounter from time to time. The homeowners had conduit run through the wall for cable management, but the standard One Connect cord that comes with The Frame TV—which is 5 meters—wasn't long enough to reach where the One Connect Box needed to be positioned. This is where preparation pays off. I carry extended One Connect cords for situations exactly like this. Samsung only manufactures two lengths: the standard 5 meters and a 15-meter option. It's a wild jump in length, but when you need the extra reach, you need it. The longer cord solved the problem perfectly.
Plymouth homes often feature these beautiful living room layouts with fireplaces flanked by built-in cabinetry. The symmetry creates an ideal setting for a Samsung Frame installation—the TV becomes the centerpiece while complementing rather than competing with the surrounding décor. This particular setup, with the dark wood shelving, vintage record player, and curated book collection, showcases how The Frame can blend seamlessly into a thoughtfully designed space.
