There's nothing quite like a beautifully decorated home during the holidays, and this Edina living room is the picture of Christmas elegance. A 65-inch Samsung Frame mounted above the fireplace, displaying a festive winter scene with Santa's sleigh, surrounded by garland, candles, and twinkling lights. We mounted this Samsung Frame onto the wood paneling within the recessed alcove above the fireplace. The Frame's slim-fit mount lets it sit nearly flush against the surface, looking more like a framed piece of art than a television—which is exactly the point.
The real magic of this installation is what you don't see. The Samsung Frame uses a One Connect box that houses all the TV's inputs and processing, connected to the screen by a single thin cable. We ran that One Connect cable through an existing conduit in the wall and into the cabinet on the side of the fireplace. The One Connect box sits hidden inside the cabinet, completely out of view.
The Samsung Frame is designed to look like art, but if you've got a black box sitting on your mantel with cables running to it, you lose that effect. By routing the cable through the conduit and tucking the One Connect box in the cabinet, this TV truly looks like it's just a framed picture hanging above the fireplace—until you turn it on.
The built-in cabinetry on either side of the fireplace made this the perfect setup. Plenty of hidden storage for components, and those beautiful paneled doors keep everything tucked away.
