There's nothing like having a TV in the bedroom for winding down at the end of the day. This Edina homeowner added a 65-inch TV to their bedroom, mounted on a tilt bracket with a clean external cord cover running down to the outlet.
We mounted this 65-inch TV on the wall between two doors, making smart use of a space that might otherwise go unused. The TV sits above a beautiful antique chest that serves as a media stand, creating an interesting mix of traditional and modern.
The tilt bracket angles the screen down toward the bed, which is essential for bedroom viewing. When you're propped up against pillows watching a show before sleep, you want the TV tilted toward you—not staring straight ahead at the ceiling.
For cable management, we installed an external cord cover that runs straight down from the TV to the outlet. It's painted to match the wall, creating a neat, tidy line that's far better than loose cables dangling behind the furniture.
Not every installation needs in-wall cable concealment. External cord covers offer a clean look without the additional cost and wall penetration of a power bridge system. They're paintable, easy to install, and can be removed without leaving major damage—great for renters or anyone who likes to keep their options open.
