When you're mounting an 85-inch TV on drywall with metal studs, standard anchors don't cut it. The metal framing requires a different approach. I used heavy-duty snap toggles combined with lag bolts to anchor the full-motion bracket securely. That combination gives you the strength you need without compromising the wall or the mount's ability to move.
Metal studs present a real challenge — they won't hold traditional drywall anchors. But with the right fasteners and the right technique, you get a rock-solid installation that'll handle an 85-incher without hesitation.
This installation is in a busy NE Minneapolis office space, part of a mixed-use building on California Street. The TV had to be visible from multiple angles and positions in the workspace, so a full-motion bracket was the right call. The power cable runs cleanly down the right side of the mount, keeping the installation professional and uncluttered.
The result is exactly what a professional office needs: a large display that moves when you need it to, anchored solid in the wall, and looking like it belongs there.
I've been mounting TVs across Minneapolis and the Twin Cities for years — from offices on California Street NE to homes in St. Anthony, Columbia Heights, and beyond. Whether you need a full-motion mount for a commercial space, a fixed bracket for your living room, or anything in between, I'll get it mounted clean, secure, and exactly how you want it. That's what The Mounting Man does.
