Sometimes bigger really is better. This Edina homeowner went all-in with an 86-inch Hisense TV mounted between two built-in shelving units, creating a dedicated entertainment wall that's ready for movie nights, streaming marathons, and game days.
We mounted this massive 86-inch TV on drywall using a tilt bracket. The tilt functionality is especially useful on large screens—it allows for slight angle adjustment to optimize the viewing experience and reduce any glare from overhead lighting.
At this size, proper mounting is critical. An 86-inch TV requires a heavy-duty bracket rated for the weight and secure attachment directly into wall studs. We positioned the TV centered between the built-in shelves, creating a balanced, symmetrical look that makes the screen the clear focal point.
The flanking shelves provide the perfect home for everything that goes with a big entertainment setup—streaming devices, gaming consoles, family photos, decorative items, and collectibles. Having storage right beside the TV keeps remotes and accessories within reach while maintaining a clean, organized look.
With Google TV built in, this Hisense has access to all the major streaming apps right from the home screen—Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Hulu, YouTube, and more. No additional streaming device required.
