I mounted a 65-inch TV above a fireplace in this Wayzata home and installed a power bridge for running a dedicated power outlet above the fireplace. I concealed the cords through the drywall fireplace cavity as well, so there's absolutely nothing visible on the wall — just the TV.
The tilt bracket gives the homeowner the ability to angle the screen downward toward the seating area. Above-fireplace mounts tend to sit higher than eye level, so that tilt makes a real difference in comfort during long viewing sessions.
A power bridge is a code-compliant solution for running power behind your TV. Instead of running an extension cord through the wall (which is a fire hazard and violates electrical code), a power bridge uses a dedicated outlet behind the TV that connects to an existing outlet below. This gives you a completely clean look with no visible cables — and it's done safely and up to code.
Fireplace installations are one of the most common requests I get in Wayzata. Many homes in the area feature prominent fireplaces as a centerpiece of the living room, and mounting a TV above them is a natural fit. The key is getting the cord concealment right — nobody wants to see cables running down a beautiful fireplace surround.
