The Mounting Man team was out in Lakeville on February 3rd, 2026 for a TV upgrade above the fireplace. Our service technician Marz handled this one from start to finish — unmounting the homeowner's existing 65-inch TV and replacing it with a brand new 70-inch Samsung, all secured with a tilt mounting bracket.
This installation involved more than just hanging a TV on the wall. Marz first had to carefully unmount the existing 65-inch television, remove the old bracket hardware, and then install a new tilt bracket sized to support the larger 70-inch Samsung. The TV was mounted on drywall directly above the fireplace, with lag bolts driven into wall studs for a secure hold.
The tilt bracket was the perfect choice for this above-fireplace setup. Mounting a TV above a fireplace means the screen sits higher than standard eye level, and a tilt bracket angles the display downward for a comfortable, glare-free viewing experience from the couch. It also makes it easier to access ports and connections on the back of the TV when needed.
